I took double award science (which covers all three sciences) as well as Maths. All the sciences are pretty important in food science. I also took Latin and Ancient Greek – but these weren’t as relevant!

I took biology, chemistry and physics at O level (the old GCSE) amongst a few others including maths, art and latin.

In New Zealand we don’t have GSCEs – back in my day we had something called School Certificate, for which I took English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, French and Latin. For the equivalent of A levels I took much the same: English, Maths, Applied Maths, Physics, Chemistry and French.
