• Question: if you were to choose a different job in science, what would it be?

      @izzylutkins. I am a lecturer at a top university, mostly lecturing engineering (but certainly with some science in there), and I would not choose any other job – I love being involved in educating people at this very high level and in stretching my own knowledge and understanding through the combination of research and teaching.

      Hi Izzy,
      I think I would swap with my sister, who is a biologist trying to save endangered species. She get to travel around the world and study wild animal in their natural habitat.
      The job I wouldn’t like to do is one where you spend your days in the lab or office doing similar things.

      Chemistry really fasinates me so I wouldnt mind having a go at that, or astro pyhsics (looking at stars etc)
      Or building robots that would be fune too

      I’d love to get involved with biofuel research – for a while I ran my cars on veg oil which made them smell like a chip shop!

      At one point I wanted to work in the Antarctic looking for new bacterial species.
