Baked Alaska has ice cream on the inside and hot meringue on the outside (using the insulating properties of bubbles in the meringue allow it to be cooked in a hot over without melting the ice cream). Frozen Florida is the opposite – cold on the outside, hot on the inside, which is a clever trick to pull off! – it uses microwaves to heat a liquid inside frozen ice-cream. The interesting constrast between hot and cold (and the fact that these are both yummy desserts!) would make either of these my choice for two foods tried together.
