Hi, being a PhD student sponsored you get a fix amount which is decided for all PhD student in England which is around £13,000. Most PhD student complain but because we don’t pay tax, council tax… It is okay to have a decent living! Plus when you do some teaching or like me work for private company you get paid £13 an hour which is very very good. Don’t know yet how much I gone be paid when I get to work for “real” lol. But it depends if you in the private sector or part of an university.
