No sorry. At this time I didn’t like my teachers and thought I didn’t like science! Then had a great teacher who show me it could be really fun and interesting!

Not particularly. However, one of my very earliest memories, when I was about 5, was of the “big boys” at school throwing cans of Coke against a wall and then opening them. The enormous jets that sprayed out formed quite a memory on my young mind! And now I study bubbles in food and drink and often think back to that first experience I had of them.

It is so long ago that I can’t remember much about high school! But I do remember that for the first couple of years I hated biology because I didn’t like the teacher and the way he taught. Then we got a different teacher who was really cool and fun and this transformed biology into my favourite and best subject – so many thanks to Mr Knott!
