I wanted to save/help the world! I now know I wont but I can make a small difference using science by finding better ways of producing food for consumer, the consumer and producer.

From the age of 10 or so I wanted to be a forensic pathologist, this is someone who cuts up dead bodies to find out how they died. And now I’m a research scientist working with food poisoning bacteria. So I haven’t achieved my childhood goal, but I’m very happy doing what I do. And it is important to realise that what you want to be changes as you get older.
