• Question: do you prefer planning your experiment or actually doing the experiment?

      Planning, I like to think about how to put in place, everything which could go wrong and how to stop it going wrong and see how it can be done the most efficiently as possible.
      Doing the experiment is nice because you get the results but in my case I need to repeat every month for a year the same experiment which can get a bit boring.

      doing the experiments and looking at the results is the fun bit for me. But planning is critical otherwise you can end up wating your time and money if you do something wrong

      I much prefer the doing to the planning. And I tend to plan experiments in my head quickly so I can get on with them. However, sometimes you need to slow down and plan carefully.
