This is partially true. This myth seems to have been created in the second world war when the British wanted to keep secret that they were using radar at night to find German bombers and then shoot them down, and so they claimed it was because the British pilots were eating carrots to improve their night vision.
Carrots do contain a chemical called beta-carotene which the body converts to vitamin A. Vitamin A is important for us to be able to see. So not enough Vitamin A will result in worse vision, but too much Vitamin A won’t make your vision better (and in fact too much Vitamin A can be poisonous!)
So there is no definite answer to this.
To add on Duncan, you can find even more vitamin A in liver (however I hate it would never eat it even if it gave me night vision lol), paprika, chili and sweet potatoes.
